Farming is a tradition in our family; Troy's parents grew up on small farms in southern Missouri. Growing up he spent many weekends working, playing, and learning with his grandma and grandpa. Wendy grew up in a suburb and always loved the outdoors. Her parents always had a backyard mini orchard including grapes, gooseberries, blackberries, cherries, peaches, and apples.
We are fortunate to be first generation farmers. We bought our farm in 2002 as a place to begin our lives together. Our farm was the homestead of a much larger farm that had been parceled out over the past 100 years. Through substantial commitments of time and resources we were soon farming our place and leasing other parcels. Fast forward twenty years we have grown our family, added a second farm, and expanded our herd.
Our cattle are black angus featuring Circle A genetics. Our cows and crops are raised using regenerative farming principals. They graze on a mix of seasonal forages. They are naturally grown, hormone and antibiotic free grass-fed beef.
At White House Farms, health has always been a primary focus in our lives and we carry this into our farming principals. In the beginning we farmed using traditional practices. Then as our family grew so did our knowledge of natural foods and healthy farming. Our farming principals focus on improving land through regenerative no-till farming sustainable farming principals. We act as stewards of the land, to create the highest quality products.
